One of my current projects includes restoring an amazing doll house! From what I can remember, this house was hand made and given to my parents by friends. It was then given to me, and I know I’ve had it since at least 1st grade, if not before. I had the best set up for my barbie dolls! I had a McDonald’s, hair salon, swimming pool, and this amazing mansion! But, in order for all of my barbie dolls to fit, I had to remove all of the ceilings so they could stand!
I’ve taken this house with me through every single move I’ve made, and now that I’m settled, I’ve begun putting it back together, so my “miniature” family can live in it! My kiddos have been graciously helping with scraping down the walls of wallpaper, hot glue, and other “cool” things I did, so we can get back to the basics, and start fresh! The house is about five feet long, and two and a half feet tall, with ten rooms!
Our plan is to have a kitchen, living room, entry way/mud room, bathroom, office, master bedroom, game room/family room, and two additional bedrooms. Our family consists of grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, and three kiddos.
Here’s where we are starting! Our first goal is to get ceilings/floors cut and installed.
