During one of my final visits with my dad, we talked about what we hoped would be after life, and I asked him several questions that began with, “Do you believe … ”
His response was so him, so perfect, so kind. My dad simply said, “I believe in people.”
I’ve spent my entire life believing we should help others. I’ve founded two non profits, given backpacks to our homeless, created hope packages for cancer patients, provided necessities for women and children hiding in hotels from abusive partners, and gifted Christmas stockings to our elderly, just to name a few!
I believe in service. And, I also believe in people. We, together, can change our world. We can make it better. We can help those who need us. We can change lives. And, because we can, we should.
